World Integrated Trade Solutions (WITS) database
Key source for all types of international trade statistics, including sub-sector-level and product-specific export data for a large set of countries (registration required)
Material Flows Database
An online portal for material flow data, providing access to national-level datasets on the extraction and consumption of different types of material (biomass, fossil fuels, minerals, ores).
Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) database
For the calculations underlying Tool 6.2 (Greening Industry: Material Efficiency), data from the Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) database, maintained by the Purdue University in the USA, was applied.
