Global Value Chains (EQuIP Tool 4) piloted in Jordan

In May 2023, UNIDO conducted a training workshop on global value chains using the revamped EQuIP toolkit. To complement the analysis, an Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) representative presented additional use cases with the recently released Jordan data from the OECD TiVA database. Participants from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply learned how to analyse their industries’ participation in global value chains, including their main sources of imported inputs and primary markets for intermediate exports. Detailed export data complemented the comprehensive assessment of the most important value chains.
